One of the things I absolutely love about Sunny Fitz is her love for throwing big, crazy, and over-the-top parties! Whether it’s Halloween (which her home has fast become known for its decor that is a must see!), Christmas, or her amazing birthday parties (last year was a Prince themed 80’s Prom – yes we ALL dressed up and it was AMAZING!), she does it big from top to bottom. No detail is missed with this one, and this birthday was no different.
Who doesn’t love something that Saturday Night Live has created? I’m sure you have a favorite skit, character, or video from SNL. Sunny brought that to life with her SNL themed birthday and I had the honor to create portraits for this party from the current bumpers that SNL airs. We looked through different bumpers (the images you typically see of hosts before and after commercials) and came up with themes, looks, and characters for each series.
We did the whole session in Sunny’s backyard! Rain didn’t stop us, but did make us have to get a little creative in getting each shot.
I was challenged to bring to life Sunny’s vision and I think we nailed it! What do you think?
