When you’re searching for something and you can’t find it, what do you do?
You make it, of course! Haha…well, that’s what I set out to do with a tulle skirt.
I ordered 400 yards of tulle (yes, 400!) and looked at it like “ok…make yourself skirt!”
I half kid.
I have the type of personality that doesn’t really start and stop projects – I typically start something until I complete it, which is good and really bad sometimes. So, yesterday, I started making my tulle skirt…and finished it last night. With the help of some Netflix to pass the time, I measured, cut, and wrapped a full length tulle skirt.
I semi-trapped myself in to my studio, as I used my closet door handle and the edge of my desk to stretch out my elastic. There was a lot of crawling underneath to get in and out.
I am so so very pleased with how it turned out and cannot wait to photograph it!! I am also excited to make some more, to fit client’s color schemes, tops, and for some conceptual images!
What do you think? I would love to hear your thoughts.
