I have enjoyed working with both the Brentwood and Franklin Lifestyle magazines photographing people and places for different featured stories. I was asked to create covers highlighting different themed stories that would be featured in the May editions. Although I had one of my images used for the Franklin issue back in December, this was my first time having a cover assignment. My assignment was to create two looks – one for the Franklin Lifestyle Magazine and one for the Brentwood Lifestyle Magazine. After sketching out different looks, I was ready.
The day of the shoot went very well, except for the wind which decided to blow at full force…meaning we had to get a little creative! I had to scratch one of my plans, but I still think we were able to create two wonderful looks for each magazine.
I worked with amazing subjects; three wonderful (and very funny) actors from StudioTenn’s musical comedy, Spamalot, performed at Franklin’s Jamison Theater in The Factory – Matt Logan, Jake Speck, and Garris Wimmer; Couture Fashion Designer, Karen Hendrix, with model Leah Marie and hair and make up artist Susannah Smith White; as well as the talented interior designer, Howard Wiggins.
